Weight Loss Medications plus 2025 Cosmetic Trends
Thin and natural.
It seems that the rise in Ozempic and other weight loss medications has changed the ideal body shape for 2025.
Lately, we have been seeing drastic weight loss and glow-ups in celebrities like Christina Aguilera, Lindsey Lohan, and Kate Beckinsale.
When people lose a lot of weight, they need to do skin-tightening surgery because of the loose skin that occurs afterwards. These procedures would be breast reductions, breast lifts, and tummy tucks.
Very subtle facelifts are being performed on younger patients because of loose skin around the neckline or jowling.
Subtle brow lifts to just lift the brow a few millimeters. Upper blepharoplasties to open up the eye and lower blepharoplasties to get rid of crepey skin.
We also continue to see smaller breasts, smaller butts, smaller lips, and an overall more natural yet thinner physique that is deemed attractive. Patients are removing their large breast implants and are opting for a smaller implant or even foregoing implants completely and doing a fat transfer to the breast.
Patients are also wanting beautiful, natural-looking, glowing skin and are shying away from some of the non-invasive skin tightening procedures that only prove to last a few years, and then surgery is still needed to achieve their desired result.
Patients are still wanting their Botox done but in a softer, more natural, and subtle fashion rather than tight, smooth, and immobile foreheads.
Patients are loving the no-downtime skin lasers such as BBL and light Fraxel or light erbium. Microneedling is still very popular with different types of serums because people want to do treatments but don’t want to have to hide out for days afterwards.
PRP and Biofiller are still very popular, especially for use in under the eyes, in the hands, and in the neck. Because it is all natural from your body and grows your own collagen and tissue, it is a wonderful choice for many people who especially don’t want to continue doing more permanent types of fillers.
I think this trend of natural is going to continue for quite a while as patients are now becoming more aware of the long-term effects that occur from some lunchtime procedures.
Wishing you a success and health in 2025!
